William E. Lewis, ESQ

William E. Lewis. Esq., currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Senior Business Advisor/Legal Affairs for Atlantis Gaming Acquisition Group, Atlantis Gaming Corporation and Atlantis Internet Group Corporation. He is a political scientist, author, college professor, consultant and a licensed attorney (state of Louisiana) with over thirty (35) years extensive experience working directly with corporate executives, senior level government officials, federal, state and local governmental bodies, boards, administrative agencies and public office holders. He is experienced in assessing the importance of specific issues and designing successful issues-oriented actions and outcomes.

 

Among other engagements, throughout his career, Mr. Lewis formerly served as a partner with the law firm Smith Martin, New Orleans, LA. Smith Martin's gaming clients, at the time, included: Bally's Entertainment, Boomtown, Inc., Circus Circus, Hilton Gaming Corporation and Casino Magic, among others. He has specialized in litigation, gaming, governmental affairs, sports and entertainment, commercial transactions, corporate/business, and public finance law.

 

Mr. Lewis also serves on several public, non-profit and private boards and as a mentor to youth, and students, of varying age groups. He currently serves as an adjunct college professor and assistant pre-law advisor instructing pre-law courses and guiding students through the law school preparation process. Moreover, he has served as a facilitator for continuing legal education seminars.

 

He received his J.D. from Southern University Law Center (formerly Southern University School of Law), where he graduated with honors and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review; and his B.A. from Hampton University (formerly Hampton Institute).
